We’ve all got at least a few old magazines lying around the house. Those of us with subscriptions typically have 20 or more old magazines sitting around at any given time. You could toss them in the trash and haul them out or you could find a useful way to reuse them. Give them to friends. A lot of people enjoy reading magazines but not every one has subscriptions. If you are desperate to get rid of a stack but hate to just throw them out ask around and find friends and acquaintances that wouldn’t mind taking some off your hands. It can be especially rewarding to give them to a friend who is ill or for whatever reason is laid up for awhile. The new to them reading material will brighten their day and make you feel good. Use them as filler for gist bags and packages. To use them as a cushion in packages simply tear sheets out, ball them up and stuff them around the items in the box.
