• Measure the stick while wearing skates so that the top of the stick comes to the bottom of your chin. Mark the stick where it meets the chin, or your desired length with a felt pen. • Cut the hockey stick with a hacksaw at the desired length. You may want to put it in a vice or have someone else hold it down so that it isn’t shaking back and forth. • Tape the knob, the top of the stick that was just cut, by wrapping the hockey tape around it until the desired thickness is achieved. Some leagues require players to tape the butt-end so that the knob cannot fit through your face cage. • Take the heat gun and carefully heat up the blade until it is able to bend. When it’s ready, you can either twist it with your hand or step on the blade while holding the stick and push on it until it reaches the desired curvature. • Tape the blade by wrapping the hockey tape around until the blade is covered, depending on your preference.
