How do you cut contoured coving for a bay window to 45 degree angles (not 90 degrees)?
Assuming you have a mitre saw, the simple cut would be 22 1/2 degrees. But being it`s a coving you`ll probably need a compound mitre. There are numbers you can set your saw to make the cut with the piece laying flat on the table if you have a compound saw(don`t ask me what they are) You can also make the cut by setting a simple mitre saw at 22.5 and hold the moulding against the fence as it would lay against the wall and ceiling. This would be a cut for the bottom of the bay. Cut the opposite side for the top.
