How Do You Cut & Make Hooded Cloaks?

0

A hooded cloak is a flowing and dramatic article of clothing that consists of a draping swathe of fabric surrounding you with a loose, rounded hood to cover your head. You can make a cloak in a variety of fabrics; for instance, use damask for a winter outer cloak or gossamer for a light, springtime accessory. Draw a rectangle 16 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Cut out the rectangle, but round off the top right corner of the shape by cutting away a small triangle about ½ inch big. Trace the shape onto the cloak fabric twice and onto the lining fabric twice. Cut them out. Cut out a 55 1/2-inch circle from the hood fabric and another from the lining fabric. Cut out a 7 1/2-inch circle from the center of both large circles. The big circles should look like Os after you cut out the smaller circles. Make a long straight cut from the outer edge of the circles to the inner circle. Lay the two hood fabric pieces on top of each other so the right sides are facing. Do the same with the lining fab
