A new holiday is here. You still have leftover holiday candy from the last holiday and everyone is buying for your child. It’s hard to say no to Grandma, Aunts, cousins, and even yourself. So what do you do with all of that leftover holiday candy?? To deal with leftover candy, first designate a jar or bag as the candy “place”. Tell your child they can only keep whatever fits into that jar. (Do this a few days after the holiday so they can have some time to decide). Let your child clear out all of the old candy from the previous holiday. Let them decide what stays and goes. After all, they will have to decide what new candy does not fit. Let your child also decide where the old candy will go. They can add it to the food pantry bag and donate it, they can make a nice candy gift basket to send to a relative or friend, or they can decide if the candy is not fit for anybody else to eat. Now that the jar is empty, let your child fill it again with their new candy. They will try to shove it,
