How Do You Decorate Cottage Chic Style?
You see the photos and you know that you like it, but when it comes to putting your own cottage chic look together you feel lost. Pull out some cottage chic items that you have, or pick up some from garage sales, antique stores, or even, don’t laugh, someone’s trash. If you have a collection of things that appeal to you, it will all come together. When people think of shabby, they think of peeling white paint. This is a great look, but it doesn’t have to always be white. You have to throw out the standard rules of decorating when your getting your cottage together. Like colors or like items are great. Some examples would be a very pale green end table with a collection of vases in various colors of green. Or try a white shelf with a collection of vintage metal wind-up alarm clocks.
