How Do You Deliver A Public Speech?
When we speak in public, the goal is to captivate the room. According to one professor of speech communications, there are “universal truths” in communications, that is, basic elements apply regardless of the topic, the occasion or the room. For those who want to be successful when speaking in public, these truths are “imperatives.” Begin with a “bang.” The first thirty seconds of with your audience sets the tone for your speech.
