Early signs of dementia can often be hard to spot. Some of the warning signs experienced at early onset often go unnoticed until it hits later stages and they become more prominent. However, with a keen and observant eye there are factors that can be detected early on and you will find those below. Monitor the persons pattern of behavior to help detect early signs of dementia. Often times an individual who is suffering from dementia may show significant signs of behavioral changes such as being moodier and experiencing abnormal mood swings or you may notice a disinterest in activities that were regularly enjoyed or participated in previously. Evaluate any changes in cognitive functions (thinking; remembering; reasoning etc) to help identify possible early signs of dementia.
