Before you have your Ford vehicle taken in for service, you need to diagnose the problem that is occurring. Open the hood and check the coolant in the reservoir tank. Unscrew the cap on the coolant reservoir and look inside the tank. The coolant should be a dark green color. If it is brown or looks like peanut butter, then there is significant rust in the system and you will need to overhaul your radiator and flush the cooling system. There may also be damage to the engine block. Remove the radiator cap by pushing down on the cap and twisting it counterclockwise.
