How Do You Disassemble A Maytag Dryer?
Occasionally through the course of usual wear-and-tear, a dryer will need to undergo servicing or parts replacement. Hiring a professional to repair your dryer is always an option, but a more cost-effective method is to handle your own repairs or replacements. Fortunately for Maytag owners, Maytag dryers are easy to disassemble, requiring only a simple screwdriver. Unscrew the two screws on the bottom lip of the front of the dryer. Pull out on the bottom of the dryer’s front panel, to loosen the front panel from the dryer. Remove wires running into the door switch, and remove the front panel. Unscrew the four screws on the shroud. Remove the shroud. Unscrew the screws holding the top of the dryer on from inside the dryer. Unscrew the four mounting screws securing the drum to the bulkhead. Remove the drum from the dryer.
