How Do You Disconnect A Gas Dryer?

0

Whether you are moving your dryer across the country or moving it to another room, it is necessary to perform the task properly to avoid injury or an even more dangerous situation. Remove all clothes from the dryer and turn it to the off position. Unplug the machine from its power source and move it away from the wall. You need plenty of room to work behind the dryer. Shut off the natural gas supply line that attaches to the dryer. You will need to use a wrench to unhook the flexible gas line from the supply source. Cap the end of the line with a Teflon paste found at hardware stores. Unhook the line from the dryer. Unhook the vent duct from the wall. Remove the duct first from the wall, then from the unit itself.
