How Do You Display The Wisconsin State Flag?

0

The Net State history website explains that the first official Wisconsin state flag was adopted in 1863 when soldiers from the state fighting in the Civil War wanted an official banner to fly. Since then, the flag design has been changed, with the word “Wisconsin” and the year “1848” displayed on the flag to mark the year the state entered the Union. Like most flags, there are regulations for where and how the state flag can be displayed. Attach the Wisconsin state flag to the flagpole so that the “Wisconsin” written on the flag is read from left to right. Hoist the flag to the top of the flagpole. Lower the flag to half-staff if directed by the president, governor or mayor. Raise the flag to the top of the flagpole for an instant and then lower it to the halfway point between the summit of the flagpole and the ground. Display the Wisconsin flag directly below the American flag if you fly both. If both flags must be lowered to half-staff, the American flag sits at the direct half point
