How Do You Do A Basic Golf Swing?
Golf is a game that people spend a lifetime trying to master. Between driving, chipping, the sand traps, the water hazards and more, it’s easy to see how complicated it can get. But if you suddenly find yourself on the first tee with your boss in hopes of trying to score the big promotion, don’t fret. Determine if you are a right-handed or left-handed player. Decide which way it feels more natural for you to swing a club. Most right-handed people do a right-handed swing and left-handers do a left-handed swing. Grip your golf club with the basic golf grip. Take your dominant hand and place it one hand-length down the handle. Keep your palm open as you place the index finger of your other hand between your ring finger and pinky finger. Wrap the rest of your fingers around the club grip with the exception of your thumbs which will both be pointing down toward the ground on the same side of the grip. This is the basic golf grip.
