How Do You Drive A Manual Vehicle?

0

There are more manual vehicles on the road then you might realize. A manual car or “stick shift” is an automobile that requires you to physically change its gears. An automatic vehicle changes its gears for you. If you follow the directions correctly, you will be on your way to your destination in no time! First unlock the vehicle, open the door, and enter the cockpit. Close the door, put on your seatbelt, and adjust the mirrors to your liking. Locate the proper key for the current vehicle, and insert it in the ignition. Now, push down the pedal that is on the far left. This is the clutch. The clutch disengages the transmission from the engine, so make sure to push it to the floor. Identify that the shift leaver is in the first gear position, which is the top left position. You can’t physically move the shift leaver unless the clutch is engaged. With the clutch engaged and the car in first gear, turn the key, starting the car. Don’t hold the key in the start position too long otherwise
