You will learn a tried and true way to freeze Green Beans from the garden or farmers market. the green beans will stay fresh (if you follow the instructions) for up to a year – with minimal effort. Buy or pick your green beans. Rinse and drain the green beans – dry on a towel. Pick out any beans you don’t want to freeze. Snap the ends off the beans – you may snap them in half if you like shorter beans or keep them whole. Compost the ends. Put as many beans as you feel you will need for a meal into a seal a meal bag – mark the contents of the bag and the date on the bag with a sharpie pen -and use the seal a meal machine according to directions to seal the bag of beans. Put in the freezer – I have had mine last a year this way.
