How Do You Easily Make Great Cranberry Sauce From Scratch?
Whether you’re making Thanksgiving dinner for the family or bringing a dish over for the hostess, this is a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving meal. This recipe is quick and easy to make and tastes great! I don’t even like Cranberry sauce and I’ll eat this. This is much better than the standard canned kind. It takes about 15 minutes to make and can be made several days ahead of time In a medium sized saucepan, stir together the water, sugar, maple syrup, lime peel and lime juice. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 3 minutes or until all the sugar has dissolved. Add the cranberries and continue to simmer the uncovered mixture for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. Add the ginger and continue to simmer the uncovered mixture for 6 more minutes or until the berries have popped while still stirring occasionally. The mixture should thicken during this time. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool. You can serve immediately at room temp
