• If you have a scanner, scan the document. (If you need help, scanners usually have a manual.) • A saving menu should come up at some point. Save the document as a .PDF file (e.g. example.pdf). .PDF files are files readable by Adobe Reader. • After your document has been saved, open Adobe Reader and see if the document will open. Adobe Reader is made to examine scanned documents, and you can save the file as a .TIFF and edit it with Microsoft Word (as seen below). In Adobe Reader, there is an email button. Click on it and enter the email address of the person you want to send the document to.
