This look is perfect for bedrooms and living rooms for an Italian flair. First paint the wall with flat white paint. Allow to dry completely. Now mix the colored flat latex paint, like Behr’s Wildflower Honey, with water. Use the ratio of 2 parts paint to 1 part water. Dip a 100 percent cotton rag into your paint mixture and rub onto the wall, using a criss-cross motion to layer the paint. Cover all of the white and leave no streaks. Allow to dry completely. Repeat the process with paint and rag to build up another layer of color. Allow to dry completely. Next mix the paint to produce the cracks. Use golden tan wall paint, like Behr’s Chickadee, as a base and add brown acrylic paint to darken. Water down this mixture with a ratio of 2 parts water to 1 part paint.
