How Do You Feed Crickets To Reptiles?

• Buy the crickets. Ask your local pet shop which size is best for your pet. Also buy a container specially designed for keeping crickets and food in. Crickets will need food and water, so get some cricket food. • Most cricket cages contain black tubes. These are used for gathering the crickets. Since they like dark places, all or most of the crickets will gather there. • Open the reptile’s cage door. • Position the tube with the crickets over the opening in the cage, and remove your hand. Tilt the tube so crickets fall out. • Let the appropriate amount of crickets enter the cage, cover your hand on the opening again. Putting a tub in the cage for the crickets is good practice as you can easily see how many have been eaten. Uneaten crickets can nibble on pets during the night. Put the tube back into the container and close the lid on your pet’s cage.
