How Do You Find The Perseus Constellation?
Perseus is easy to find in the night sky, as it’s one of the largest constellations in the northern hemisphere. This collection of stars appears in the northern sky during the winter and can best be seen in the month of December. It is visible between 90 degrees N and 35 degrees S latitudes. Examine the star map and note that the constellation Perseus is north of the zodiac belt of constellations. It sits between Aries and Taurus. The Pleiades reside just below Perseus. Embrace the frigid winter night and gaze into the stars. Locate the North Star and the band of Zodiac constellations. Look in the direction of two of the brightest stars in the night sky, Capella and Alteberran. Capella is part of the Charioteer while Alteberran is one of the primary stars of Perseus. Use your binoculars to investigate the two clusters of stars, The Pleiades and the Hyades which lie just below Perseus.
