How Do You Fish A Wire In Sheetrock Walls?

0

Learn how to get a wire into a wall hopefully without cutting sheetrock. First we are going to cut a hole for whatever device is being installed. Always ensure you buy the proper box for job and proper wire size. Ask electrical attendant at your home or electrical supply store. Now if we are coming from above we will go into attic and find wall plate above the hole we have cut. If wall is insulated we may have to take some time and twist and push tape until it goes through insulation and far enough down to catch an attach wire. If non-insulated, stick a lit flashlite in wall and you should see the lite through your hole. Now drop you tape through the hole and push until you feel there is enough in wall to reach your hole. If you come from a crawlspace just repeat step 2 from under the house. Now tape wire securely to end of tape and pull to desired location. PRESTO, you have got your wire in the wall.
