How Do You Fit Telemark Boots Into Bindings?

0

Telemark bindings require a bit more effort to engage than the push-and-click style of alpine ski bindings. Clear snow from the bottom of your boots and top of the telemark bindings. Do this with a ski pole or your hands. Slide the toe of one boot into the toe plate of the binding. Make sure the toe is pushed as far as possible into the binding. Fit the heel cable or spring of the binding into the groove on the heel of the telemark boot. Clamp either the heel lever or toe lever (depending on the model of the binding) tightly, to provide tension. Attach the ski-retaining strap to prevent a runaway ski. Repeat with the other boot and binding.
