A broken car horn is a bigger problem than some people might think. It can be annoying at times, but not when it’s needed to alert other drivers. The standard response when the horn breaks down is to replace it altogether. However, there are a few steps you can take first to see if the problem lies elsewhere. Step 1 Inspect the horn’s fuse inside the fuse box (usually under the hood) and the wiring. Replace the fuse if it is burned out and reconnect any wires that have been disconnected from the wiring harness. If you find and correct any of these problems, test the horn again to see if it now works. Step 2 Adjust the adjustment screw on the horn’s body.
