Step 1 Identify the causes of excess moisture by checking for plumbing problems, poor drainage due to improperly situated gutters or downspouts and slope grade issues. Step 2 Repair any leaky plumbing issues quickly to prevent excess moisture problems. Check for condensation on ductwork as well and insulate if necessary. Step 3 Eliminate any drainage problems due to rain water by keeping gutters debris-free.
