How Do You Fix A Maytag Washer When The Cold Water Won Stop?

0

When the Maytag washer cold water flow will not stop, the cause is either the water level switch or the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve and switch work together to fill the tub as necessary. When one or both of these components malfunction the cold water will not shut off and could cause flooding problems. You can replace these components and have your washer working correctly again. The valve and switch are available at appliance repair facilities. Step 1 Unplug the Maytag washer power cord from the wall outlet. Pull the washer two feet away from the rear wall. Turn the water supply valves off to the washer. Place a bucket under the water supply hose connections on the back of the washer. Disconnect the two water hoses from the back of the washer and the ends of the hoses in the bucket. Step 2 Slip a flathead screwdriver between the front right corner of the control console and the top of the washer. Lift up on the screwdriver and push the blade to release the retaining clip
