How Do You Fix A Sagging Drawer?

0

There are many different things that you may want to do in order to give the drawers or cabinets within your home a boost. Sagging drawers can be a sad sight and a nuisance to use. A quick fix can be minutes away. Step 1 Go ahead and check your drawers to see if there are more than one that may need the bottoms replaced. The bottoms can end up getting warped due to normal wear and tear, an abundance of moisture and of course excessive weight being placed in the drawers. Step 2 Measure and cut your 3/4 inch melamine to fit into place, making sure that you have a good fit to match the drawer itself. Step 3 Install the new drawer bottoms with either a hammer and tacks or nails or even a heavy duty staple gun, whichever you may happen to have handy. Extra reinforcement can be added with a good bead of wood glue to help keep the bottom from shifting over time.
