Turn off your BlackBerry Handheld first. Then Remove the battery and sim card, then close the sim card latch. In the top center of the latch there is a rectangle with a metal tab in the middle; GENTLY push the metal tab inward using a toothpick or small screwdriver. Then finally insert sim card and Battery, then set the back cover and start your phone.

HI if your blackberry mobile is displaying sim error message when you insert other network sim in it …Then it mean your phone might be locked to some other network provider in other country ….Then you can’t use the phone with other network sim until you unlock it …You can easily unlock your blackberry mobile using sites like UnBBlock.com here they are providing unlock code for all blackberry mobile models at reliable cost ….After unlocking the phone you can freely use it with any other GSM sim …

If a BlackBerry is dropped to hard, exposed to water or malfunctions, the screen will often display a message reading “SIM Card Error.” The phone will not operate correctly on the radio path or network until this is fixed. SIM Card Has Shifted Out of Place Step 1 Remove the back cover of your phone. To do so, you will have to press down on the silver latch while sliding the cover off toward the top of the phone. Step 2 Remove the battery from inside of the phone. Be sure to place it somewhere where it will not be damaged. Locate a silver hatch; this is where the SIM card is stored. Step 3 To undo the silver hatch, slide it in the direction that says “Unlock.” Then, flip it upwards so that only one end of it remains attached to the BlackBerry. Carefully remove the SIM card. Step 4 Replace the SIM card after a few seconds. It should fit back into its place in the exact same way you found it. Lock the silver hatch by laying it back down over the SIM card, and then sliding it the opposite

On many BlackBerry© phones (the ones with SIM card doors instead of slot load SIM cards) over time the phone may start displaying ‘SIM Card Error’ in place of the network name and ‘SOS’ where the signal meter is. This is caused by the SIM card falling out of contact with the reader in the phone. • Turn off your BlackBerry© handheld. • Remove the battery cover and the battery from the back of the phone. • Unlock and remove the SIM card from the phone, then close the SIM card latch. • In the top center of the latch there is a rectangle with a metal tab in the middle; GENTLY push the metal tab inward using a toothpick or small screwdriver. • Open up the latch and put the SIM card back in, when you close the latch there should be more resistance. • Put the phone back together and turn it back on. You are done. What this did was create more pressure on the SIM card, holding it in place better.
