How Do You Fix A Stuck Convertible Top?
If your convertible’s top suddenly won’t budge, you may not need to interrupt your day with an emergency trip to the auto-repair shop. Often the hood will not go up or down for simple reasons that you can check yourself. Try the following before calling your mechanic. Step 1 Check all the latches that hold the top open or closed. You’ll feel sheepish but happy if this is the cause of the problem. Step 2 If the hood won’t close, make sure the lid for the boot (hood hideaway or cubby) is open. If it’s not, open it. Step 3 Check for a blown fuse (see How to Fix a Faulty Car Fuse).
