How Do You Fix A Torn Shower Curtain Hole?

0

Have you ever had a shower curtain you love and one day notice that one of the holes has ripped so it is no longer attached at that hole? In stead of throwing out your shower curtain and buying a new one, it is easy to fix. • Get a little strip of metal about 3 feet long. The metal should be in the shape of an “L” or “U”. • Cut off 1/2″ of metal and crimp it tightly along the upper edge of the curtain. Place shower curtain ring in the hole and rehang. • Leave the shower curtain up while you work, if you want to. Use a small ladder. • Remove the shower curtain ring. • Clean the area to remove soap and oil film. • Place a strip of masking tape behind the ripped area, fixing the curtain so that the edges of the rip mate together. • Prime the area using PVC Primer. Do not use too much. • Glue area with PVC Cement. • Plug in the glue gun and wait until it gets hot. This gives time for PVC Cement to dry. • Apply hot glue over the area. • Wait until the glue really sets hard (about an hour) •
