With a trip to the hardware store and about 10 minuntes, you could spare yourself the outrageous plumber’s bill and treat youself to a nice hot shower instead. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to replace a section of water line quickly and easily. Step 1 Determine where the leak is. It’ll probably be close to a fitting, like an elbow or coupling. Once you’ve found the leak, make a list of the parts you’ll need. If the pipes are copper, they’re probably soldered together. If you don’t know how to do that, don’t worry, we’re using quick connect parts in this lesson anyway. If you think you’ll have to remove more than just a fitting, go ahead and add some pipe to your list too. Make sure to note the size of pipe you have.
