How Do You Fix A Weed Eater?

0

Everyone will have this problem with a 2 cycle weed eater. After a period of time it will be hard to start or not start at all. The problem is that the motor can not get rid of the exhaust. Step 1 Remove the plastic cover if it prevents you from getting to the muffler. It will be held on with a few screws. Place the screws with the cover. I use a little soap and water to clean this up. Do not use any water on the motor. Remember to disconnect the spark plug, just to be safe. Step 2 Remove the steel cover on the muffler, by removing the screws that hold in to the muffler housing. Place the screws with the cover and clean with soap and water. Step 3 Remove the mesh screen under the cover. brush off excess carbon build up then wash with any soap. Any wire brush will work for this. This is were the hard starting comes from. The exhaust must be able to leave the engine.
