How Do You Fix Kitchen Sink Sprayer?

0

The kitchen sink sprayer is a tool you take for granted, not realizing how indispensable it is until it’s broken. Depending on the extent of the break, some new kitchen sink sprayers can be expensive to fix. These helpful kitchen devices aren’t difficult to fix, because in most cases, it’s simply a faulty diverter. It will probably take you longer to drive to the hardware store for a replacement diverter than it will take to fix your sprayer. Step 1 Turn off the water to the sprayer by using the hot and cold water shutoff valves located underneath the sink. Step 2 Use pliers to loosen the cap located behind the faucet’s spout, making sure to protect the chrome cap with an old rag. Once the cap is removed, stuff the rag down into the sink’s drain. Step 3 Loosen the old diverter, and use needle-nose pliers to pull it out with its rubber gasket. Step 4 Wrap some Teflon tape around the threads of the new diverter. Step 5 Gently thread the new diverter into place, and carefully tighten it.
