If your computer is running the Microsoft Vista operating system, some programs may experience compatibility problems. McAfee Security is one such program. If you have installed a previous version of McAfee Security Center from a CD on a computer running Vista, you won’t be installing the program’s updates that have since been released to fix issues between Vista and McAfee. Updating the program usually solves the issue. If, however, you have already updated McAfee and you are still experiencing problems, there’s a fix for that as well. Close any unnecessary programs you may have open. Locate the McAfee icon on the desktop taskbar. Right-click the McAfee program icon. Choose the “Updates” option from the menu.
