How Do You Fix Oxidized Headlight Lenses?

0

A headlight lens is a transparent plastic piece surrounding the headlight. Over time the headlight lens can get scratched, turn yellow, and oxidize. A cloudy headlight lens hinders how well your headlights project on the road. With the use of a professional headlight lens cleaning product, your lenses will look nearly brand new. Step 1 Put a quarter-size amount of professional headlight lens cleaner to a buffer pad that you can attach to a standard drill. Use any brand of cleaner, such as Meguiar’s Headlight Restoration. Step 2 Put the buffer pad with the cleaner on the headlight lens, then turn on the drill. Buff the product into the lens without missing any spots. It will take about one or two minutes to buff each lens thoroughly. Step 3 Wipe the product off the headlight lens with the microfiber towel in the same way you would clean wax off a car. Your lens should now be clear and free of oxidation.
