How Do You Fix Patio Screen Doors?
With the arrival of summer comes the use of your patio screen doors. While moths and flies can’t normally get through the wire mesh of the screen, if your screen has rips, it it will be unable to keep these bugs out. If your screen is broken at all, you should take steps to fix it. Place a small bit of instant adhesive over a small tear to close it up. This will close the rip up without your having to remove the door. Measure the hole if it is larger than a rip but smaller than a huge tear. Cut a piece of screen out of your extra screen material that is slightly larger than the hole. Place a bit of glue around the edges of the patch if your screen is nylon or fiberglass, and press it onto the hole. Bend the edge pieces of the patch to right angles if your screen is metal, and place it over the hole. Bend the edges around the existing screen to get the patch to hold to the existing screen.
