How do you get a Great Pyrenees dog to gain weight?

You can try to get him to eat more by using something on top of his food. You can try yogurt, cooked meat (no bones), canned food (none that have been recalled), a little bit of bacon grease, etc. Just be sure to not give too much as it can cause diarrhea, which would make the weight loss worse. Also, you can try giving him a little puppy food and make sure that he is on a super-premium adult formula (not large breed adult as it has less calories to help prevent the dog from becoming overweight, which is not a problem for your dog). He will probably not want to each much as it gets warmer, so you may have to try a little harder to get him to eat. If he is a working Pyr, then you may want to make sure that he is not being overworked. I have seen Pyrs that were so busy trying to keep coyotes away from the sheep that they do not eat. If you have not tried it yet, I would recommend giving him a 5 day round of Panacur then wait 2 weeks and give him another 5 day round. It treats almost ever
