Using a Gameboy emulator is a great way to enjoy your favorite GBA games on a PC or Mac. Many programs will emulate Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance games. One of the most popular programs is the Visual Boy Advance Game Emulator. It is easy to use and gives you good color and sound. All you need to have are GBA ROMs already saved on your computer. Download Visual Boy Advance from the website. Locate the link for Version 1.8.0 beta or the latest version (see Resources). Click on the download link and save it to your desktop. Double click on the icon after the file has downloaded completely. This should open up the folder containing the file “VisuaBoyAdvance.exe.” Double click on this file, and choose “Extract all.” This will open the Windows Extraction Wizard. Select “Next,” and make sure the directory selected to save these files is the one you want them saved on your hard drive. Choose “Next” again and this will extract all the files to the chosen directory. Click “Finish.”
