How Do You Get Hockey Gear Clean And Smelling Better?
If you have a child that plays ice hockey you know how nasty the gear gets that is in that bag. The smell is awful and you just can’t get ride off it. Well I was determined to try anything and I did. I am glad I did, even though it would have been an expensive test if it was not going to work. But it did and it is so very simple. Just get your hockey gear together and put them in the washer. Set the washer on extra large, cold, delicate cycle and add a little bit of detergent to it. Just like you would when you do a small load. Once washer is done, remove all gear and hang dry it. Do not load too many items in the washer at once. To dry the gloves, just hang them over the end of a hockey stick. The gloves will take a little longer to dry. Do not wash the gear to often, but every couple to three month is when I do it. My son plays a lot. Now the bag can be washed the same way and it works. The helmet, we just spray with disinfectant spray.
