How Do You Get Rid Of Garden Slugs Organically?
Slugs thrive in damp weather and can destroy many plants in the home garden. Hostas, young beans, and salad greens such as lettuce are especially vulnerable to these pests. Poisons can be a problem around children or pets, but there are plenty of organic alternatives. Try one or more of these methods to eliminate slugs from the home garden. Hunt slugs on rainy days or cool evenings, early mornings because slugs like dampness. Place clay pots or grapefruit halves upside down to attract slugs. Use chopsticks to remove the slugs from these hiding places or from plants and then dispose of the pests in the garbage. Mix equal parts of ammonia and water in a spray bottle.
