How Do You Get Rid Of Gasoline Odor In Carpet?

0

There are several ways to remove gasoline smells from your carpet. You can try either one of these. I’ve tried all three and they work. Be sure to consider the carpet quality and color of the carpet. The first thing to try is saturating the area with white vinegar for about five minutes. Use a steam cleaner/extractor or a shop vac to soak up the vinegar once it has saturated the spot. Once the spot has dried cover the spot with baking soda and let it sit for 8 to 10 hours, then vacuum. The smell should be gone. Another solution is saturating the area with isopropyl alcohol and use a steam cleaner/extractor or a shop vac to soak up the alcohol once it has saturated the spot. Follow up with baking soda. The final solution is to place fresh unused coffee grounds directly on the odor spot and let them sit for as long as you can before vacuuming up. When using coffee grounds you may need to repeat this step a few times.
