How Do You Get Rid Of Outdoor Flies Naturally With Stuff You Already Have?

When you have barbecues or outdoor events flies can be a seriously annoying problem. Since the backyard of my apartment is next to the trash bins the fly problem gets even worse (especially in the summer heat). I wanted an inexpensive and chemical free way to get rid of the flies. This recipe for a fly trap is easy and uses things you’ll probably already have in your kitchen. Punch a few holes in the jar lid with the hammer and nail. Pour in vinegar, sugar and water into the jar. Shake to mix. (The bigger the jar, the more water it will need. The water should fill the jar up to 2/3 when mixed in with the other ingredients). The vinegar can also be replaced by a banana peel or anything else that will rot. The flies are attracted by the smell, though we don’t really notice it. Screw on lid to jar and place outside near fly infested areas. The flies will go into the jar through the holes and not be able to get out. (They’re not very smart).
