Nothing is better after a hard day at work or play than being able to kick back and relax in a hot tub. Climbing in and out of the tub will add sand and grit to the water. Allowing this material to run freely through the circulation system is inviting clogs and additional wear and tear. A biodegradable cleaner and a wet/dry vacuum will remove the sand and extend the life of the hot tub. Empty the water from the hot tub and vacuum the floor and jets of the unit with a wet/dry vacuum cleaner. Place the nozzle of the vacuum directly over the jet openings and allow three to four minutes for the removal of the sand and grit. Repeat this step on every jet opening. Remove the hot tub filter following the particular models owner’s manual. The filter will block clearners from cleaning tubing and jets. Close the air controls and fill the hot tub with water.
