How Do You Get Sharpie Off A Dry Erase Board?
Although a Sharpie marker spot on your dry erase board is a problem, it can be removed by using common household products. Despite its name, Sharpie marker stains do not have to be permanent. The stain should be treated as soon as possible for the best chance of a successful removal. Trace over the Sharpie marks with a dry erase marker. Use a wide-tip marker, if possible, to use less ink. Erase the dry erase marks promptly with an eraser or paper towel. Repeat, if necessary, until the Sharpie marks have disappeared or lightened significantly. Dampen a rag with rubbing alcohol if the permanent marker stain is still present on the board. Rub the alcohol-soaked rag over the permanent marker stain. Switch to clean portions of the rag as one part becomes filled with marker stains. Add more alcohol to the rag if necessary and continue scrubbing until the mark is gone. Wipe down the board with a dry rag to remove any residue.
