How Do You Get Silly Putty Out Of The Couch Cushions?
Kids love Silly Putty. Although it can be quite a mess, we still let our kids play with it. Sometimes, Silly Putty ends up in places where it doesn’t belong, such as the couch cushions. It may seem impossible, but you can successfully remove Silly Putty from a couch by following the proper steps. The right tools and products, combined with a bit of patience and elbow grease, will leave your couch cushions looking unscathed. Use a dull knife to scrape as much of the putty from the couch cushions as possible. Wipe the knife frequently with a dry rag to prevent the putty from spreading. Work slowly and gently while scraping. Spray the Silly Putty stain with WD-40 or a similar oil lubricant. Spray only a thin layer of the spray onto the cushions to cover the stain. Let it sit on the stain for about 3 minutes. Scrape the area again with the dull knife to remove more of the Silly Putty. Respray the stain with the WD-40 and wipe the area with a cotton ball.
