How Do You Get The Bearings Out Of Skateboard Wheels?

0

For those skaters who don’t want to deal with prying their dirty/broken bearings out of their skateboard wheels with a screwdriver, there is an alternative method that works much better. • Unscrew the bolts of a wheel and take the wheel off it’s axle. Use this part of the axle that the wheel came off of for removing all 4 wheels. • Hold the wheel that you just removed back on the axle so that the tip of the threaded metal part of your truck is in between the two separate bearings. • Get the axle to diagonally fit in between the bearings • Use leverage to continuously pull on the wheel, and turning the wheel 45 degrees. • If done right, the bearing that is on the inside (towards the axle of the truck) should gradually pry out until it falls onto the truck. • Flip the wheel and repeat the process so that you get the second bearing out. Repeat this whole procedure for the other 3 wheels.
