I would suggest soaking in a tub of warm or hot soapy (dawn works great) water. Add to that a 1/2 cup of baking soda. Let soak for a few hours then agitate with your hands. Next, rinse thouroughly outdoors if you can with cold water. Wring out and let air dry.
