Have you ever seen a black and white photo and one object in the photo still has a soft hugh of color. The photo looks very artistic and elegant. Would you like to be able to do the same thing? I started with a color photo of myself when I was very young. Open your photo in your photo editing software. If you do not own a scanner I found it very easy to use your digital camera and take a picture of your old photograph then just upload the photo to your computer. Once you have the photograph open you will turn the photo into black and white. In Photoshop 5.5 you will click on image and then Mode. Under Mode you will choose grayscale. You should be able to find a black and white or grayscale mode in what ever photo editing software you have. Photoshop will ask if you want to discard the color information. Just click ‘Okay’. Now that your photo is in grayscale you may want to punch up the black and white colors to look crisp and rich. In Photoshop click on ‘Image’ then ‘Adjust’ and then ‘
