How Do You Give Inexpensive Christmas Gifts?
It’s easy to save money at Christmas time, and still give very nice gifts. Here’s how! Go to the dollar store or discount store in your local area. You can usually find great bargains, and the stuff is usually pretty nice. I got a castle figurine for my mother-in-law there once, and she loved it. Another time, I got Halloween skeletons for family members, and that was a big hit too. Think of what would be useful for family members. For example, my grandmother always needs note pads and pens, so I give her a bunch of colorful pens, note pads and highlighters, and she’s happy. Give the gift of time. Offer to babysit a friend’s childrens for a few hours. Run Grandma’s errands, or just spend an afternoon with her talking. Make something. Crochet some slippers or a sweater. Knit a scarf.
