How Do You Grow Beautiful Water Lilies?
Water lilies are a beautiful aquatic flower, great for shallow ponds or aquatic gardening. They are also a very hardy plant that is difficult to accidentally kill and requires little effort on the part of the gardener once they are planted and growing. Growing water lilies is very simple and it will certainly make your garden much more beautiful. Make sure you plant them in fairly shallow water. You want it to be about 18 inches deep or so. Though water lilies will adjust to deeper water, keeping your water level at approximately 18 inches is best. Use a heavier soil. The soil needs to stay under the water, so you want to avoid anything that will float. You can use an aquatic plant fertilizer to keep the soil you put down nourishing for your plants. Water lilies need to have at least six hours of sunlight a day, so make sure you plant them where they get sunlight. Prune off dead leaves. You don’t need to do much more beyond occasional pruning for maintenance.
