How do you grow chickpeas, the sort used in hummus?

i love hummas.don't listen to that guy.i wish i knew maybe if you buy the pea and start it in a pot see if that would work.it might not because as soon as you addd water the pea gets soft like when you make hummas you soak the beans overnight before you make the hummas the next day.i am half middle eastern so i grew up eating hummas and all the other great food.if you have a local market were they sell the beans a middle eastern store ask the man or woman running the store how to grow the chickpeas.  more
